Moms Making Money Online and Getting Organized for Entrepreneurship after Job Loss

LET'S TALK ABOUT death and Rebirth, and what I did when the life I was living failed. If you are new here, hi I'm Kae, mom of one, and Six months ago my only source of income was taken from me, with my child, my mortgage, and depression staring me in the face. This is my journey of rebuilding my life from rock bottom through self-reflection, resilience, and the incredible faith of trusting in God’s Plan for your life, even when everything is falling apart. Lifestyle, entrepreneurship, motherhood, and everything in between. 

FIRST: PICTURE THIS: by the tender age of 23, I found myself in a place many of us know all too well. A single mother, overworked, underpaid, and drowning in a sea of stress, frustration, depression, despair, and most of all, debt. Sound familiar? 

I did all the right things, or so I thought. I had a stable 9-5 job, a reliable car, and a roof over my head. But despite ticking all the boxes, I was still consumed by self-loathing, sadness, debt, and depression. It was clear that something had to change, and that change began with a simple vision on my 23rd birthday.

In December 2019, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery and transformation. I committed to revamping my daily habits, starting with my health and fitness. Little did I know, this would be the catalyst for a series of events that would lead me down the path of entrepreneurship. March 2020: the world was hit with a pandemic, and I became jobless like most. But instead of succumbing to despair, I saw an opportunity. A space in time where I could change my lifestyle to fit the needs of my son and myself. 

With newfound time, I dove into Virtual assisting classes, investing in myself, and my skills while also exploring avenues to generate income from home like freelancing, digital marketing, and selling vegan goods. This time period is where I birthed the idea for an e-commerce store and virtual assisting agency.

I still have my notes typed on my phone from brainstorming, research, and ideas. Journal entries that share my heartache and pain for desperately desiring a new story. However, I still had an outdated mentality of corporate expectations and societal norms, and the overwhelming feeling of being stuck in a cycle that seemed impossible to break won again. I stopped my Virtual Assisting courses, closed my notes for my start-up business, and found another 9-5 job. Who knew it would take FOUR more years, and many more obstacles, lessons, and blessings for me to launch my website and brand in April of 2024?

December 2020 popped up with a devastating blow. My child and I fell ill with COVID-19 after staying healthy the full year, derailing my attempt to “make corporate” work and leaving me without income once again! But adversity only fueled my determination to succeed, so I began my entrepreneurial efforts with side gigs again. 

I became jobless again in 2022 due to unforeseen circumstances. Fast forward to September 2023, and despite landing a high-paying remote job as a contracted Operations Manager, paying down debt, and buying my new hybrid car,  I still felt unfulfilled. I prioritized money, status, and what I thought was stability over my happiness.

NEXT: GOD INTERVINED, and took it all away. I was released from my position, my health began to decline, my car had to be sold, and the spiral began. These events led me to a revelation: I lived the same life year after year, trapped in a cycle of dissatisfaction and unfulfilled potential. The Self-Sabotaging Insanity Cycle. 

I immediately began to pray and ask God to help me devise a plan to go all in this time around. If I was hitting rock bottom, there was no way I would risk building back up to the top with the wrong foundation or without God. My fear of being in this space again was much greater than any fear of following my dreams. My heart’s desire for a lifestyle of balance, and time and location freedom had grown so massive over the years, and now that I knew God had a greater purpose for me as well, I could not back down. 

With God and newfound clarity, I decided to treat my life like a business. I would be the operations manager of my life and use all the skills i developed thus far to create all new processes and procedures for my health, wealth, and overall success.

THEN: IN REAL TIME I created an ultimate ADHD Lifestyle Planner through trial and error, which assisted me with organizing my life and creating daily habits to shape the new women and life I was building. I used this planner to develop a daily schedule for working from home, homeschooling, exercising, daily devotional prayer, and more.  This outline propelled me towards healthy practices for entrepreneurship, such as time management, task management, and accountability. This is how i leveraged my skills and experiences to pursue my passion for creating a conscious lifestyle of balance between Health and Wealth with Time and Location Freedom! I created my own business, blog website, and digital products. And let me tell you, it's been nothing short of transformative in every area of my life. 

NOW: I am living proof that God works in mysterious ways, guiding us towards our true purpose even in the darkest of times. My journey from despair to empowerment is a testament to the power of faith, resilience, and trust in a plan greater than our own. My reality began to look like my visions and daydreams as God aligned my wants, needs, and desires with the Will he has for my life. I now help women and moms make money online and establish a lifestyle they love too. 

I went from rock bottom to launching my own website, blog, digital products, courses, personal and business brands, and I using my social media to teach women and moms how to make money online, all in 4-6 months!

To all the women and moms out there feeling stuck in the rat race of life, I urge you to trust in God and the journey. Embrace the unknown, lean into your faith, and watch as God works wonders in your life!
